The Crew

Meet the Crew

The people, personalities, and pups behind Roadsheaux — from route planning and photography to the loyal companions who traveled so much of the road with us.

Roadsheaux is built around shared miles, good stories, plenty of detours, and the kind of travel that leaves room for surprise. What began as a way to see more of the country grew into a life centered around the road itself.

Along the way, every member of the crew has left a distinct mark on the journey. Some plan, some photograph, some keep watch from the front window, and some are remembered now with deep love for the years they spent making the trip better.

Crew profile

Chad

Chad is the numbers guy, the trip planner, and the one who somehow always finds the best BBQ and craft beer joints within 30 miles of wherever we're parked. Technically a CPA by trade, a traveler by preference, and a writer somewhere in between. You're far more likely to find him planning the next route than reviewing a tax return.

Off the clock, he's happiest with a SCUBA tank on his back, a pickleball paddle in his hand, or sipping a good glass of bourbon. He is our Chief Adventure Officer.

Crew profile

Donna

Donna is the heart of the operation and the reason everything actually runs as smoothly as it does. She is a gifted organizer, the crew's primary photographer, and the person most likely to find the perfect shot while Chad is busy planning the next detour.

She has an eye for the quiet details that make a place memorable, and a patience for the open road that matches her partner's enthusiasm for it. She is also the reason Juneaux is spoiled, well-loved, and completely convinced she runs the place.

Zack

Zack grew up on the road with Chad and Donna, and it shaped him into someone who understands better than most that you can build a business from anywhere. He launched his own marketing agency at the age of 13 and has been growing it ever since.

These days he doesn't make every trip, but he finds his way out to join them from time to time. When he does, the rig gets a little louder, a lot more fun, and considerably more crowded, especially if he brings along Kyra, his Husky/Malamute mix, who is not a small dog.

Crew profile

Juneaux

Juneaux is the beagle rescue who joined the crew and immediately made herself at home. She serves as Head of Sniffing Operations and takes the role seriously. She is approximately five years old, deeply devoted to Donna, and has strong opinions about nap schedules, campsite rabbit populations, and the precise moment dinner should be served.

If the rig is parked and the rest of crew is out, you will likely find her keeping watch from the front window.

Memorial

Dixie & Phydeaux

Dixie and Phydeaux rode with the Roadsheaux through some of its most meaningful years. They belonged to the everyday rhythms of the road, and they remain part of this story.

Dixie

2010–2024

Dixie was a rescue and the founding Head of Security for the Roadsheaux. Mostly rat terrier, entirely devoted, and absolutely convinced that every squirrel within a hundred yards was her personal responsibility.

She was with Chad and Donna from before the RV days all the way through 2024, logging more miles than most people ever will. She is missed every day.

Phydeaux

2019–2024

Phydeaux was an older pup when he joined the crew in 2019 and traveled with them until 2024. He came with a personality already fully formed and a relationship with food that bordered on legendary.

No cabinet was safe, and he had an uncanny ability to tip over trash cans twice his size when the motivation was strong enough, which it always was. If there was a way to get to it, Phydeaux would find it. He also had a soft spot for riding the paddleboard with Zack down in the Keys.
